An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Casual Residential Childcare Worker within our children’s home – Chadersley.

The home offers accommodation to young people aged 7 – 18 on a flexible basis dependent upon their care needs. The aim of the home is to provide security and stability for young people and to provide as near to a family environment as possible, providing facilities to enable young people to achieve positive change in their lives.

To achieve this we create a warm, safe and welcoming environment with highly trained, multi-skilled and experienced staff who are committed to our values.

We are looking to speak to you if you are enthusiastic, reliable and flexible with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for caring for young people. You will need to possess initiative and resilience for what is often a demanding role. We would love to hear from you if you have a genuine interest in the welfare, care and development of children and young people with emotional behavioural difficulties.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with children and young people, in a residential setting or in social/community work. You should possess knowledge, experience and understanding of child protection issues and hold a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or an equivalent qualification or be willing to obtain it.

Our home offers care 24/7 and we offer various shifts with some sleep-in duties required. Shifts are made up of days, nights, evenings and weekends.

Salary £9.80 per hour, plus £60.00 sleep in rate.
