The Occupational and Safety Team provides a comprehensive service to the Council on all matters relating to occupational health, safety and welfare.

We are looking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated individual with good communication skills to join our team of professionals based at the Civic Centre, Gateshead.

You will have knowledge of current fire safety legislation, technical standards and best practice'

You should have experience of carrying out fire risk assessments and producing fire risk assessment documentation, delivering fire safety training and advising managers on fire related issues.

It is desirable that you have relevant fire safety experience within the Fire and Rescue Service or within a commercial organisation/the social housing sector.
