Temporary post for 12 months required to cover Maternity leave

South Tyneside Educational Psychology Service is a friendly, highly supportive and nurturing team of educational psychologists, assistant educational psychologists specialist teachers and emotional resilience officers. The Service is very well regarded by its users, as is evident from the consistently excellent feedback it receives. It maintains highly positive working relationships with schools, other professionals and the Local Authority. There are opportunities to engage in a wide variety of work, including training, therapeutic work, systemic work and research, using a range of different psychological tools and methods.

We are seeking an educational psychologist to cover a maternity leave. You will have a patch of schools and the opportunity to get involved in a range of different work including critical incident support, research, supervision and working with the Project for Looked after Children’s Education. We are seeking an educational psychologist who is willing to be part of a multidisciplinary team. We would also welcome any particular areas of interest a candidate may bring to the role as we are always seeking to develop innovative ways of working with schools. The post is subject to registration as a qualified Educational Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council.
