An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join the Community Learning Disability Team part of the Whole Life Disability Service, initially to cover a period of maternity leave, with the possibility of permanent opportunities within the Adult Social Care service.

You will be an enthusiastic team player who is passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes for people with disabilities, their carers and their families. Multi-disciplinary working, organisational skills and the capacity to manage complex cases are a priority. You should have experience or knowledge of adults/children with learning or physical disabilities/complex health needs and/or those with additional needs.

You will be an effective communicator with the ability to work as part of a team, to build relationships and engage with disabled children, young people and parents/carers. You will have the ability to produce concise, effective and accurate written work and follow departmental procedures, whilst working in a busy environment.

The successful candidate will be offered regular supervision, a supportive, enthusiastic team, opportunities to develop and work/life balance. We offer a range of excellent in house and bespoke training and joint training with health colleagues is also available.
