An opportunity has arisen for a Community Asset Transfer Support Officer required until 31 December 2020.

The post holder will be accountable to the Partnerships and Consultation Team Manager and work with other staff in the Partnerships Team contributing to the implementation of a wide range of community asset transfers. They will provide a range of support, guidance and advice to community organisation working through Asset Transfer.

They will work with community organisations and officers from relevant services to clarify expressions of interest received. Arranging and attending meetings with organisations expressing an interest in Asset Transfer. Work with relevant service leads to understand the scope of the Expression of Interest. Gather information about the organisation and the asset or service concerned and identify any concerns and gaps in the expression of interest. Contribute to the development of business cases for the Council.

They will organise and facilitate the Community Assets Steering Group meetings and liaise with officers across the council and partners.

Required Qualifications: HNC/NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant field
