Permanent, full time, Highways Operative/ Driver required. A position has become available within the Castle Morpeth Highways Construction Team to assist with the day to day deliveries within the Northumberland County Council service area of Castle Morpeth. Duties will range for minor repairs within the adopted Highways to the delivery of large Highways improvement schemes. We are looking for an enthusiastic  individual who works well as part of a team and can adapt quickly to the changing environment within the Highways industry.   You must have a City & Guilds Craft Certificate in Roadwork, NVQ Level 2 (or working towards) or an equivalent qualification or significant industry experience along with basic numeracy and literacy skills.

You will have previous experience of manual work and the physical ability to engage in heavy manual work as much of the time will be spent walking, stooping, lifting and carrying.
