Trainer/Assessor in Health & Social Care Apprenticeship Standards and other care-related training programmes.

Sunderland City Council’s Learning and Skills Service is looking to recruit 2 suitably qualified and occupationally competent Trainer/Assessors to deliver Health & Social Care Apprenticeship Standards and other care-related qualifications.

The successful candidates will possess effective learner and employer engagement skills and the ability and experience to deliver all aspects of Health & Social Care apprenticeships including:

• Carrying out initial assessment and induction
• Developing individual learning and assessment plans
• Carrying out assessments of learners’ skills, knowledge and competence during the course of their Apprenticeship Standard, Diploma or Certificate.
• Delivering functional skills training
• Monitoring and managing the progress of
learners to ensure timely achievement of the
agreed outcomes

The successful candidates will also play a significant role in complying with all of the Service’s requirements regarding Safeguarding/Prevent, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and Health & Safety in relation to learners and employers.

This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
