Hummersknott Academy is a larger than average 11-16 school that serves a diverse community and is situated in a very pleasant residential area on the south west outskirts of Darlington. The town has good transport links and offers easy access to the Yorkshire Moors, Dales and the coast as well as the cities of Newcastle and Leeds.

We wish to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Data and MIS Manager who will play a key role in school and work closely with the Assistant Principal for Performance Review and Improvement. The successful candidate will manage the Academy's MIS system (Bromcom), including the annual production and day to day administration of the timetable for staff and students. The postholder will also be responsible for providing analysis and reports on all school data, using a range of systems and software as well as keeping school data tracking systems accurate, up-to-date and responsive to the needs of the Academy.

The role will include:

- Working with the Assistant Principal and Faculty Leaders to review and report on students' progress towards their targets
- Plan and develop a curriculum timetable working closely with the Senior Leadership Team

About you:

You must have excellent analytical skills, including advanced use of Excel, be a lateral thinker and problem solver, enthusiastic about making the best possible use of available systems, resilient and diligent.

It would be desirable if the successful candidate had some experience of educational data management systems and an understanding of a school curriculum, however, full training will be given to the successful candidate, including training on the various systems and software packages.
