Whickham School is a large and successful school in Gateshead with over 1500 students including approximately 250 in the sixth form, which is one of the most successful in the region. MFL results are strong, with around 65% of all pupils studying either French or German at GCSE. The percentage achieving grade 4+ in languages (89%) was in the highest 20% of all schools in 2019.
