Job Location: Louisa Centre Nursery in Stanley, however you may be required to work at any DCC council office.

The Louisa Nursery is looking for a part time, permanent cook to provide a nutritious and well-balanced diet for our children aged 0 - 5 years, taking into consideration individual diets and requirements of children. The successful candidate will have experience of planning and preparing suitable menus for up to 40 children and babies.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role previously and will have a good knowledge of nutritional requirements, allergens and allergies. A qualification in Basic Food Hygiene is essential and they will have to ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Food Standards Agency.

The core hours of work are between 9.30am - 2pm, Monday to Friday.

Required qualifications: Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
