We have a full time and part time vacancy for this exciting opportunity for an experienced social worker to join the Looked after Children and Young People's Service. You will be a qualified social worker with the ability to encourage, support and engage with children, young people, parents and carers to promote participation in all aspects of service delivery.
You will be enthusiastic and highly motivated with excellent communication skills to enable you to work effectively with a wide range of agencies. You will have a sound knowledge of relevant legislation and ensure that you apply consistently high standards to ensure better outcomes for children and their families.
Knowledge and experience of child development and having the ability to place the child/young person at the centre of all practice and decision making is essential. You will also be proficient in report writing. It is also required that you have an understanding of child protection procedures and practices. It is essential that you have a recognised Social Work qualification, and registered with Social Work England. A current driving licence and access to a car, or means to mobility support is also an essential requirement of the post.
