The Adults & Communities Directorate consists of three strands, Adult Social Care, Community Development, and Public Health. We are looking for a suitably qualified person who can lead our Recovery and Independence Team. The suitable candidate will manage a large team of recovery and independence staff across Redcar & Cleveland to enable people to be supported to remain at home and live independently for as long as possible in the community. They will manage and drive forward the recovery and independence service to support people to regain and retain skills relating to everyday living following discharge from hospital or a sudden injury or illness and they will ensure service users receive a rapid response service and manage this function to ensure a high level of service is provided.

The suitable candidate will be highly motivated, organised and enjoy working autonomously as well as part of a team. You will be required to be responsible to work within legislative frameworks to deliver a high standard of care to users and carers of the service.

This post will require frequent travel between venues across the borough, a full driving license and access to a motor vehicle is required for this role.
