Required ASAP, a suitably qualified and experienced teacher to join the team at this highly regarded 9-13 Middle School with 564 pupils on roll.

The successful applicant will teach English and PE to allocated groups throughout the 9-13 age range. They will have the capacity to rise to the demands of teaching Year 6 SAT’s, provide high quality lessons to move pupils of varying abilities and enable all pupils to progress with their learning. Through their teaching and passion for the subject they will inspire pupils with enthusiasm for English, emphasising how important it is to modern day life. The role also includes pastoral responsibility for a form class and the ability to make a contribution to the wider life of the school.

Sport is a flourishing activity at MBMS, the uptake is high and our philosophy of “sport for all” is embraced by the vast majority of pupils.

The successful candidate will also take responsibility for adding to the range of extra curricular activities we have on offer.

The successful applicant will have the personal qualities and professional skills necessary to enthuse and motivate pupils, so that the highest standards of learning are attained and maintained in her/his lessons. (S)he will be a hard working, supportive and effective member of the teaching team.

The school has recently (March 2020) been inspected by Ofsted. The report will be in the public domain in the coming days.
