Rare opportunity for ambitious Architectural Technician

North Tyneside Council is seeking to grow and strengthen its multi-disciplinary Design Services Team creating the opportunity to join a group of individuals designing a range of construction projects across North Tyneside. The team provides technical support from inception to completion on a varied and challenging portfolio of projects.

The successful candidate will enjoy the benefits of working in a local team, working alongside the delivery team of the Council (Pre-Construction, Construction and Facilities Management departments) dedicated to achieving goals within budget and to the right quality.

The Design Team is developing 3D expertise across the Authority’s IT platforms and manages full design delivery across residential, educational, commercial and leisure assets. The Team is successfully leading on new build housing design.

The position comes with all the benefits and comprehensive support that a Local Authority can provide and covers a wide range of interesting commissions within a small geographical area.

You would need to have a comprehensive knowledge of Planning and Building Regulations and be used to managing project lifecycles and the provision of technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges using regularly updated software.
