FIREFIGHTER (CONTROL) PERMANENT VACANCY
FIREFIGHTER (CONTROL) SECONDMENT/FIXED TERM CONTRACT (12 MONTHS)

Have you got the necessary qualities to work as part of a team? Are you a good communicator and listener, who is calm under pressure? Able to deal with people who may be distressed?

If yes, then an exciting opportunity has arisen to work in our Emergency Fire Control.

The role will see you dealing with emergency calls from the public, mobilising fire crews to deal with incidents such as fires, road traffic collisions, chemical spills and much more.

The successful candidate should have good written and verbal communication skills, the ability to ensure that accurate information is obtained from the caller, provide advice and support to aid survival in the event of fire and prioritise tasks whilst working under pressure.

A shift system is operated; shifts include days, nights, weekends and public holidays as a result candidates must be 18 years or over.

A starting salary of £22,198 rising to £29,587 when qualified
