The Adults & Communities Directorate consists of three strands, Adult Social Care, Community Development, and Public Health. We are currently seeking to recruit a Governance Support Officer for our Mental Health teams in the Borough. The Mental Health teams are managed by experienced Mental Health Social Workers who are also Approved Mental Health Professionals. In addition, there is an AMHP service which is led by a Professional AMHP Lead responsible for strengthening the management support to the Council’s AMHP service.

You should have significant experience in an administrative role, developing and managing office systems. You should have extensive knowledge of working with Microsoft Office software, Excel, database, email etc. Prior experience of Local Authority and Health systems would be desirable. The ability to communicate at all levels is paramount to this post.

The post holder will interact on a regular basis with vulnerable adults, their families, carers and other professionals involved in their care. In addition, the post holder will have some supervisory responsibility for our Business Support Officer and Administrative Apprentice.
