*Part-time 18 hours 30 minutes temporary posts available -

Part-time (18 hours 30 minutes) Home Care & Support Workers required temporary up to 24 months subject to service review, but with the possibility of being made permanent positions.

1 x 18 hours 30 minute post at The Orchards, Brandon – this is to cover maternity leave only, therefore will be temporary up to 12 months only.

*Part-time 9 hours 15 minutes temporary posts available -

Part-time (9 hours 15 minutes) Home Care & Support Workers required temporary up to 24 months subject to service review, but with the possibility of being made permanent positions. The successful applicant will be guaranteed 9 hours 15 minutes per week, with the expectation that person will work on a bank/as and when needed basis, covering up to 37 hours per week, where required.

SALARY: £18,426 - £19,171 pro rata to hours worked - grade 3

This role will give you the opportunity to contribute to a vital and valuable 24 hour community service in your local area, by providing care and support to service users within one of the seven extra Care Schemes.

The post requires candidates to work flexibly on a rota basis, covering a variety of shifts covering days, evenings, nights and weekends. Applicants should have the ability to develop excellent communication skills, be able to demonstrate a common-sense approach, be able to work on their own initiative and, after completion of an induction, manage their own workloads, along with the ability to build positive relationships with service users, colleagues and external agencies.

Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Care or willingness to achieve within a set timescale

It is anticipated that interviews will be held week commencing 1 June 2020 and will be done through video call via internet.

The appointment for this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced level check.
