We are looking to recruit 2 Behaviour Change Workers to work collaboratively with Domestic Abuse Workers, Social Workers, Lead Practitioners, Police and other professionals to provide bespoke interventions with those who demonstrate abusive behaviours.
The successful candidates will be required to support the development and implementation of a new framework to break the cycle of domestic abuse. They will have a key role in the development of this service and as such must be able to evidence innovative practice, evaluate the impact of the work and respond to learning to meet individual need. Applicants must demonstrate an understanding of systemic practice and a readiness to develop skills in narrative approaches.
You will manage a caseload undertaking assessments and support planning while working in partnership with other professionals contributing to Common Assessment Framework, Child Protection, Child in Need or looked after Child plans to reduce the risk of harm.
It is essential that you hold a professional qualification at NVQ level 4 or above or can demonstrate substantial experience of providing one to one and group interventions with those who demonstrate abusive behaviours and their families.
You must have an understanding of child and adult safeguarding, the principles of risk assessment and safety planning, understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities in practice and an ability to maintain professional boundaries.
You will have experience of working with vulnerable people and those affected by domestic abuse. Good written and verbal communication skills, good organisational skills and being able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team are also essential.
