We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our Quality Assurance Team. You will be part of a team of experienced practitioners leading our service to good within a Centre for Practice Excellence, which will work to understand the issues, introduce the best possible practice and develop solutions. The Centre for Practice Excellence is the Council’s blueprint for developing quality and standards in social work and championing social work in Middlesbrough. Social work is a valued profession, and for us social workers are the experts in protecting children. We need people who share that vision.

The quality assurance role is critical to that journey you will have a strong focus on quality of practice and take a lead in the Quality Assurance functions as defined in the Quality Assurance framework. There will be a strong focus on learning and development. This is a strong career development opportunity for an individual with exceptional social work skills looking for the next challenge. You will be responsible for developing consistent and high standards of professional and managerial competence amongst all staff through the auditing process.

As well as your strong knowledge and experience within Children’s Social Care, you will be a passionate, driven individual with a proven record in achieving results against targets. You will have experience of leading, inspiring and engaging workers to raise professional standards and expectations.
