Non-Executive Board Director
£8,000 per annum
At Thirteen, we’re more than just a landlord. We believe everyone is an individual. That’s why we don’t just provide properties; we offer a home to suit each person’s needs.
And we don’t just offer a home; our range of extra services means we can give people a helping hand specifically tailored to them if they need it.
Our strength, capacity and ambition to deliver what our customers need means we can change things for the better.
We’re the largest housing association in the North East and among the biggest 25 nationally. Today we own and manage some 34,000 properties in the North East region, 30,000 of them in the Tees Valley. Thirteen is still an organisation that’s local at its heart.
Our skilled colleagues and board directors work tirelessly to support 70,000 tenants and customers, bringing a breadth of experience and a can-do attitude to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
We now have the perfect opportunity for someone with passion and first-hand experience about our local communities to join us and play a key non-executive leadership role within our group.
We’re looking for someone with great local knowledge, insight and empathy, backed up by a track record in a community or customer-focused environment.
You’ll need the highest degree of integrity and be able to bring insight and challenge to our work, as well as being committed to making a positive difference to people’s lives.
Being able to influence decision-making is vital, as well as the ability to give strategic leadership and work collaboratively to inspire constructive debate around key issues.
You’ll also need a strong track record in understanding and mitigating risk and evaluating performance to ensure we’re as effective, efficient and financially and organisationally sound as possible.
If you’re looking for a unique opportunity to give your expertise to help others and play your part in improving people’s lives, you could be exactly who we’re looking for.
At Thirteen, we like to be inclusive, looking at things from different perspectives to drive innovation, and we welcome applications from young people, women and candidates from BAME and other diverse minorities.
