Family Placement Service - Social Worker 18.5 Hours

An opportunity has risen for qualified part-time social worker (18.5 hours per week) to join the team at the Family Placement Service. We are looking for an experienced social worker with a minimum of three year post qualifying experience in statutory social work.
The social work post is in the Child Permanence Team. The post involves childcare adoption responsibilities such as the completion of Child Permanence Reports (CPRs), supporting family finding activity in partnership with the Adopt North East (regional adoption agency) and matching and placing children with their adopters. It also includes supporting children and their adopters post placement until the making of an Adoption Order. The role will include more general looked after child functions such as statutory visits and oversight of care planning.
You will hold a case-load and work with other agencies and disciplines to ensure that an effective and holistic service response is provided. You will work closely with the social workers in both the area teams and in the fostering team.
You will be part of a creative, enthusiastic and dynamic Family Placement Service. You will work with other partners and stakeholders to make sure the voice of the child is taken into consideration. -You will have a sound knowledge base of the Knowledge and Skills Statement for Child and Family Social Work and the application of Professional Capabilities Framework which will be embedded within all elements of your practice.
You must hold a relevant Social Work qualification such as the Social Work Degree, DipSW, CQSW or CSS and be registered with Social Work England. You should also have a minimum of three years post qualifying experience.
