As an Apprentice Gardener, you will develop skills, knowledge and experience working in the Clean and Green service.

You will develop skills and knowledge through the provision of a high quality grounds maintenance service assisting the team with grass cutting, operating grounds maintenance machinery and powered hand tools. They will also assist with the planting and maintenance of floral displays and shrub, rose and heather beds.

The apprenticeship will be based in various locations across County Durham.

You will be studying towards the Horticulture and Landscape Operative Level 2 via East Durham College.

You must have a good basic education to GCSE level or equivalent, have good communication skills and be able to form effective working relationships with colleagues.
