This will involve managing a small team of Lawyers who deal with land and property, planning, highways, contracts, agreements and commercial work. Corporate procurement also sits in the Team. We are not expecting fluency in all areas but the successful person will need to be able to develop an understanding of all areas of the teams work and be able to oversee and help members of the team as necessary.
The successful candidate will be expected (if they do not already have this) to develop a good understanding of strategic procurement issues.
There will be opportunities to work with colleagues across the Council on major projects to ensure that appropriate legal and procurement input is provided.
