Permanent Midday Supervisor required as soon as possible
7.5 hours per week
The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and dedicated midday supervisor to ensure the care and well-being of pupils during the lunch time period. The successful applicant will be joining a team of teachers and support staff whose principle aim is to provide a safe and happy environment in which the children can play, learn and grow together. The successful applicant will need to be a responsible and caring person.
The applicant should follow the school’s policies including those on play and behaviour management.
Working Pattern: 11:45 am – 1:15 pm (Monday-Friday)
Main purpose of the job:
To facilitate play opportunities during the midday break and supervise the school midday meal and any other reasonable requests from the school’s leadership team.
Duties include
• Promote childrens’ play.
• The care and supervision of pupils during lunch time.
• Encouraging high standards of behaviour
• Attend to children in the dining hall, encouraging good table manners
• Ensure the dining areas are left clean and tidy
• Attend to minor injuries
• Keep appropriate records
• Attend training as required
• Work as part of an effective team
• Follow school policies

This position is paid whole time with retainer adjustments applied to periods of school closure. You will not be required to work during the school closure periods however your salary in these periods will be adjusted accordingly in line with the retainer regulations as specified in the National Joint Council (NJC) Green Book agreement.
