The ICT department is at the start of a substantial and rewarding journey to transform ICT within the Fire Service and as a result we have an exciting opportunity for an ICT Network Engineer to join the ICT team.

This is a varied and interesting role, supporting the ICT team with the transformational change projects and maintaining existing ICT investments in Hardware, Software, Services, Network Infrastructure and Security systems.

The role

The role will require the following:

• Excellent understanding of complex Network infrastructure environments including LAN, WAN, Routing, VPN and Firewalls.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills when monitoring Networks using SNMP based systems.
• Experience with managing Network security policies and systems.
• Experience with Wireless systems and technologies.
• Ability to effectively understand new ICT systems and technologies, including keeping abreast of emerging technologies.
