Citizens Advice Gateshead is an independent local charity, and a member of the national Citizens Advice network. We are now recruiting a Corporate Services Director to help us to take the next steps on our journey.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Corporate Services Director will make an essential contribution to all aspects of policy, strategy and operations to accelerate the charity’s progress towards our vision. This is a new position that reflects our ambition to continually grow the impact of the charity for the benefit of our clients, our staff and volunteers, and our strategic partners locally, regionally and nationally.
The Corporate Services Director will be accountable for establishing and leading the corporate services function, encompassing all strategic and operational matters associated with: compliance and quality; governance; policy management; financial management; work environment; remote working; IT and telecoms; health and safety; building facilities; procurement and supplier management. The post holder will also be responsible for the management, supervision and continuous development of the corporate services team comprising 4 members of staff and multiple external partnerships and suppliers.

Our ideal candidate will be a senior strategic leader who is professionally qualified (eg finance, law, business administration) and has proven experience of driving change within a charity or publicly funded organisation.
Through your career to date you will have been accountable for highly effective financial management in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment, balancing innovation and future proofing with rigorous ownership of governance and company secretarial duties. You will also have driven substantial improvements in organisational efficiency and culture through quality, IT and facilities infrastructure.

Hours: 37 hours per week / Monday to Friday / Flexible working / TOIL system / can include remote working
