1 x 37hrs temporary for 12 months
1 x 37hrs temporary to cover a period of maternity leave

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and committed Social Workers to deliver a number of Social Work interventions for people who experience severe and / or enduring mental health difficulties.


South Durham Psychosis Team provides an integrated health and social care approach when supporting people with complex mental health problems and their carers. Staff members provide statutory and specialist interventions on behalf of both Durham County Council and Tees Esk and Wear Valley’s NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful applicants will join a multi-disciplinary team of workers who are committed to provide a flexible and effective service to people with psychosis and social care needs.

You must have an up to date knowledge of current legislation and Policies/ Procedures in relation to Adult Health and Social Care.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Social Work qualification i.e. Degree, DipSW, CSS or CQSW or equivalent. We welcome Newly Qualified Social workers to apply for this role and support will be provided for your ASYE. You also will be required to be trained, or be willing to undertake a Practice Educator course.

Applicants must hold Social Work England registration.

The successful applicants for these posts will be required to apply for a Disclosure Barring Service- Enhanced Disclosure.
