South Tyneside Housing Ventures Trust was formed as a Registered Provider of Social Housing in 2014 and is an independent, private, not-for-profit company offering high quality housing in South Tyneside. The Trust now owns over 400 affordable homes which includes homes for people over 55, families living with someone with a disability, and new and refurbished family and starter homes. The homes are managed through a service provider and this contract is currently being re-procured. The Board have recently agreed an ambitious development programme which will almost double the size of the stock portfolio and will provide a further 360 general needs housing, supported housing and extra care schemes in South Tyneside over the next 4/5 years.

This is an exciting time to join us as our new Managing Director, where you will work closely with the Board and lead a small team. As the most senior officer you will have overall responsibility for the organisation and be accountable to the Board for the development of the STHVT business strategy, its policy and business planning, and the continued growth of high quality affordable housing, supported living and extra care in our community. You will work in partnership with key stakeholders including the local authority, regulators and service providers and lead the team within the performance framework of the organisation, whilst maintaining customer service excellence.
