We are looking for a hard-working, motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join the Building Services team as an Apprentice Joiner. In this role you will be responsible for providing a full range of joinery duties working on various domestic and commercial properties in a fast moving and dynamic environment. You will be friendly, professional and demonstrate excellent customer service skills at all times.

Examples of work to be undertaken include
•Carry out relevant trade duties on responsive and planned works as requested to Building Services specifications and standards.
•To carry out all aspects of joinery and associated building works to specification as instructed either individually or as part of a team.

Previous experience is not necessary to apply for this role but we’re welcoming applications from those candidates that can show potential, determination and a drive to succeed. In return we can give you the opportunity to start your career under the management of our experienced staff and receive high quality training.

As an Apprentice Joiner, you will undertake the Level 2 Carpentry and Joiner apprenticeship and you will be required to attend Sunderland College 1 day per week. You will be supported through the apprenticeship by a College assessor and you will also receive regular mentoring in the workplace from your supervisor and team.

Candidates will need to demonstrate that they have an interest in joinery and wish to develop a career in this discipline. Ideally candidates will have or expect to achieve 3 GCSEs at grade 4 (grade C) or above in Maths and English. Candidates with equivalent qualifications or who have the ability to achieve a Level 2 in Maths/English alongside the apprenticeship are also encouraged to apply.
