Following the retirement of our caretaker, the Governors of Forest Hall Primary School are looking to recruit a new caretaker to open up and maintain our small and friendly school buildings and site each morning so our children are safe and learn in the best environment we can provide.

The post is for a Caretaker, Grade 5 working 15 hours per week 52/52 and is a permanent position. The hours involve opening school up at 7am each morning and working on site for 3 hours. Additional hours may be arranged with the headteacher to complete projects on site. As school is used as a polling station, the role also includes setting up the polling station, opening up and closing school on these occasions.

The successful candidate will have experience in carrying out maintenance tasks and minor repairs including joinery, plastering, plumbing and painting.

The Caretaker will carry out some cleaning duties and porterage and be responsible for security of the premises and its contents including the maintenance and record keeping of emergency lighting, fire and alarm systems.
