Transport North East (TNE) is looking to appoint an experienced communicator to help drive forward its ambitious vision for transport in the North East of England.
The work of TNE is guided by North East Joint Transport Committee (NEJTC) which is a body that brings together the two Combined Authorities for the area: the North East Combined Authority (covering Durham, Gateshead, Sunderland and South Tyneside), and the North of Tyne Combined Authority (covering Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland).
Using your skills and experience you will help to drive forward our ambition of "Moving to a green, healthy, dynamic and thriving North East". Gateshead Council, as lead authority to the NEJTC, are progressing the recruitment to this exciting role.
We need a Communication and Marketing specialist to join the team who’ll help to promote, develop and co-ordinate our narrative and shape our future stakeholder engagement work. The role will offer you the chance to demonstrate your skills and experience in communications and marketing, using a variety of digital and traditional media channels, to produce clear and focussed communications informed by customer insight.
You should hold an appropriate degree and hold or be working towards a recognised equivalent communications qualification e.g. CIM, CAM, CIPR.
You should be a competent project manager of strategic marketing/PR campaigns with experience in managing complex communication issues and finding solutions to tight deadlines and budgets, whilst providing good customer service and evaluating outcomes.
