Together for Children are seeking to recruit a Pathways Team Support Worker to help deliver prevention and support services to Homeless 16-17-year olds and to assess providers and deliver support to our Supported Lodgings Scheme for care leavers.
Applicants must hold or be willing to work towards a relevant Level 3 qualification and have a current full valid driving license with access to a car or means to mobility support.
You will have knowledge and understanding of Children’s Social Care procedures, Together For Children Safeguarding procedures, knowledge of social, emotional and developmental needs of young people and have a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for children and young people who access the service.
You will have experience of working with Looked after Children and Care Leavers, including understanding of housing options and promoting the development of independent living skills, awareness of welfare benefits ,working as part of a team, and have good communication skills and customer service. You must be able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills, report writing and recording skills.
You will be based within our Next Steps leaving care service and must be comfortable working at pace within a busy team environment, be able to manage work demands, be self-motivated and committed to excellent work practice.
This position requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check
