Further Information
We’re looking to recruit a Compliance and Maintenance Officer to join our team at Tyne. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role within our organisation, helping to ensure our buildings and our resident’s homes are safe and secure.

You’ll be a highly observant and motivated individual that can think outside of the box and identify potential problems before they occur. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that all legal compliances are met, overseeing fire alarms, fire doors, legionella control, and more. A full UK drivers licence with access to your own vehicle is essential, as you’ll be visiting properties across the region on a regular basis, ensuring the safety and compliance of communal areas and resident bedrooms.

You must have an excellent understanding of the fabric of a property and be able to work methodically to solve potential issues, as well as having great communication skills to liaise both internally and externally with key stakeholders and contractors to plan works and ensure the best possible value for money. You’ll be responsible for logging repairs with contractors, ensuring they’re done in a timely manner as well as carrying out the occasional repair yourself when necessary.

Tyne supports our region’s most vulnerable people. As you’ll spend time in all our buildings amongst staff and residents, a high level of observation, empathy and compassion is vital. This is a challenging role, but an incredibly rewarding one for the right person.
