The Service

Children’s Services play a vital role in ensuring that residents in Northumberland are safe, well cared for, live well and learn. In order to support and develop these key services, it is essential to have well-maintained, modern and fit-for-purpose digital solutions. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced “systems person” to work closely with core team members within the service whilst being supported by a wider Information Services and Systems Team.

The role

Based in Children's Services, and working with colleagues in social care, education, and central I.T., the postholder will lead on the maintenance and development of client information systems across the department. They will bring focus and direction to the work of the Systems Support service, whilst enjoying a large amount of autonomy to implement and develop often complex client information systems to meet the needs of a range of services.

We are offering:

A salary of £36,876 - £40,760
Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme (or other pension scheme)
A wide range of staff benefits including a competitive annual leave provision
Flexible working arrangements
Opportunities for continuous professional development

Essential requirements:

Experience in the development and use of client information systems
A proven track record in supporting and guiding frontline staff and managers to improve how client information systems are used
Flexibility and reliability with a planned and structured approach to project delivery
