DurhamWorks Skills Officer (Youth Engagement) 35 hours per week
The Foundation is seeking a highly motivated individual to fulfil the exciting role DurhamWorks Skills Officer.
Through our pioneering DurhamWorks project, it is the Foundation’s ambition to continue to deliver and develop high quality Youth Engagement across County Durham.
Purpose of the Role: The Skills Officer is responsible for the planning of a series of diversionary activities/youth engagements, targeting hard to reach young people, aged 16-24, who have been involved in anti-social behaviour or at risk of becoming involved in crime/victims of criminal exploitation.
The delivery of one-to-one and group mentoring will be the priority of the role, fostering positive relationships to develop learners to progress into group mentoring, group activities and accredited learning.
There are two roles available, with one role based at our Caterpillar site at Peterlee and one in Shildon.
