The Service

NCC’s Staff Bank Service is designed to provide an in-house group of individuals, who would be suitable for a number of different roles within the Council to cover temporary vacancies, absence or increased demand within services. There are a number of different areas in which you could join as part of the team including:

- Administration
- Cleaning/Catering
- Housing
- Waste/refuse
- IT
- Finance
- Residential Support Work
- Driving
- Social Care
- Social Work

This may suit someone looking for flexibility around their current work or home commitments or someone looking to supplement their current role with additional ad-hoc work. There are no guaranteed or set hours available but this will be discussed with you at the point of application or please contact the team using the details below.

The Staff Bank is managed by the Temporary Staffing Team, who you can contact via temporarystaffing@northumberland.gov.uk or 01661 721 000. You will be subject to Northumberland County Council's pre-employment checking process which includes references, health clearance and proof of right to work in the UK along with a DBS for relevant roles.
