The council requires an enthusiastic individual who has demonstrable knowledge and expertise in the delivery of administration of licensing, or can demonstrate abilities equal to the role.

The administration of highway licences under Highways Act 1980 and Traffic Management Act 2004, including: Skips / Scaffolding / Hoardings / ‘Cherry Pickers’ / Street Cafes etc.

Provision of advice including the interpretation of Traffic Orders and technical support to both internal colleagues and external partners such as Police, as well as members of public.

The candidate will ideally have suitable experience within a Traffic legislation environment and / or allied field such as experience in traffic management design; scheme delivery and/or Highways Act/Road Traffic Regulation Act enforcement. Experience and working knowledge of ‘Parkmap’ Traffic Order Repository and CAD is advantageous.
