We are looking for a Health Promotion Assistant to join a growing team in Sunderland, with experience of working with businesses and local communities to contribute to the Councils developing strategies for encouraging Covid secure procedures and practices, healthier premises, through the provision of expert advice and training initiatives to influence positive behaviour change.

This fixed term temporary position will compliment and support the Council’s Commercial Team (Food and Health and Safety) in the delivery of their objectives in relation to inequalities of Public Health through the development of Covid Secure and public health campaigns in areas across the City.

The ideal candidate should be able to develop strategies to encourage the provision of proactive education activities to secure healthy workplaces business, communities and individual behaviour, through education, advice and training using a range of skills including but not limited to good verbal communication, persuasion, advice and guidance where necessary
