Licensing Technical Support Officer – job advert (fixed term contract 6 months)

Sunderland City Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Licensing Technical Support Officer on a 6 months temporary basis to assist in the promotion and safeguarding of public safety through the operation of an effective and efficient licensing and regulatory regime.
The successful applicant will have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and will undertake a range of administrative duties relating to a range licensing functions, including the processing of applications and associated fees.
The post holder will also assist in the drive to improve our customer services including the digitalisation of processes for hackney carriage and private hire licensing. They will also take part in other improvement projects including supporting reviews of policies and administrative procedures.
