Further Information
This school has Academy status and is part of Prosper Learning Trust; the employer will be the Multi Academy Trust.

Prosper Learning Trust, a multi-academy trust, seeks to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated person to fulfil the dual role of Finance Account Manager and Procurement Officer. The successful candidate must be passionate about working to secure the best possible outcomes for all our children, families and the wider community.

Required from Monday 2 November 2020, the focus of this role is: assist the Finance and Operations Director in managing all aspects of finance across the Trust; to provide direct line management to the team of finance officers; to work with the Trust Operations Manager to deliver best value procurement and contract management; and to ensure the Trust’s financial strategy is implemented effectively.

Prosper Learning Trust is currently comprised of two Alternative Provision Academies, Newcastle Bridges School, and Mary Astell Academy, offering education to children and young people who are unable to attend mainstream schools, and two Special Academies, Thomas Bewick School and Harry Watts Academy, offering education to children and young people with autism. A third special academy will be forming part of our Trust from September 2022.

Our alternative provisions endeavour to provide our pupils with the chance to return to mainstream schools. Where this is not possible we provide a pupil centred approach in a range of environments. Our special academies provide specialist expertise for SEND pupils with EHCP plans. Our academies provide education from 3 to 19 years old, in school buildings, hospitals, and outreach, ensuring appropriate transition at each stage.

We can offer:
• A friendly, caring and supportive ethos
• A dedicated and enthusiastic team of staff and trustees
• Well-resourced quality learning environments
• Support from colleagues within all our schools
• Opportunities to continue your own professional development

We are strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils. Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure and a range of other recruitment checks. Please note that in all cases written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage; even if you indicate otherwise.

Download the application pack/details from: www.prosperlearningtrust.co.uk and follow the links to our vacancies page. Please note: submissions via recruitment agencies will not be accepted or considered in the short listing process and only completed application forms will be considered.

Closing date: 20 September 2020

Please note: Interviews will be held during week commencing 7 October 2020. If you have not heard from us by this date please assume your application has been unsuccessful.

As this post involves working with children, vulnerable adults or dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage; even if you indicate otherwise.
