Child and Family Workers within the Children within the safeguarding teams manage a caseload of children and young people who are in receipt of a Care Package of Support as a result of their assessed needs. They also work alongside social workers within the team to provide family support and intervention.
You will have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Children’s Social Care procedures, Together For Children safeguarding procedures, knowledge of social, emotional and developmental needs of young people and have a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for children & their parents and their families.
You will have experience of working with children in need and their families, working in a team, have good communication skills and customer service. You must be able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills, report writing and recording skills and be able to evidence providing direct work to children and their families.
You must be comfortable working at pace within a busy team environment, manage work demands, be self-motivated and committed to excellent work practice.
Experience of working previously in a Social Care environment would be an advantage
This position requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check
