The Head Teacher and Governors of Southlands School would like to appoint a qualified and experienced specialist teacher to join a small team of teachers delivering an authority wide service under the commissioned management of Southlands special school.
• The post-holder will contribute to the delivery of this service to schools and will provide assessment, reports, individualised intervention programmes, teaching and training for school staff. In addition, a range of advice and support will be provided for parents/carers and other relevant professionals.
• The aim of the service is to raise the achievement of children and young people whose difficulties of a dyslexic or dyscalculic nature are affecting their learning.
• Applicants must be able to evidence appropriate specialist qualifications, relevant teaching experience and up to date knowledge and understanding in this field.
This post is permanent, 26 hours per week.
