COMMISSIONING OFFICER, WELLBEING AND COMMUNITY HEALTH COMMISSIONING TEAM
HOURS: FULL TIME - 37 HOURS PER WEEK

The post holder will support the process of developing commissioning solutions to meet identified needs. Whilst the focus will be children’s services the post will fall under the broader remit of the Wellbeing and Community Health Group.

The role will include collecting and analysing data, writing service specifications, involvement in service reshaping and/or tendering and other procurement processes while managing and monitoring contracts and Service Level Agreements.

The monitoring aspect of the role is significant and will include visiting the sites of external providers as well as undertaking Regulation 44 visits for the Council’s internally operated children’s homes. It follows that the Post Holder will be required to work with internal and external service providers on both a stand alone or collaborative basis.

The post holder will be commercially aware and able to understand the relationship between cost, quality, customer care and corporate performance assessments.

This is an extremely supportive, collaborative team where effective communication is essential, commitment to providing a quality service is expected and new ideas for improvements are welcomed.

We are offering:
- A starting salary of £28,672 (rising to £32,234)
- Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme (or other pension scheme)
- A wide range of staff benefits including a competitive annual leave provision
