County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service (CDDFRS) has an exciting internship opportunity for an ambitious and forward-thinking individual in the position of Communications Assistant in our busy and dynamic Communications Team.

You should hold a degree in digital multimedia, graphic design or a related subject and be competent in all areas of Adobe Creative Suite. You will be able to work quickly and efficiently supporting the communications team in delivering innovative internal and external communications.
You will also have experience of designing creative content including videos for social media and our internal communication channels, you will also be able to produce digital publications and corporate documents.
We are looking for an individual who is positive, proactive and embraces new and innovative ways of communicating. The postholder must be an inspiring communicator who can tell the story of the organisation and who’s style and approach will reflect our values and behaviours.
In return the post offers 26 days annual leave rising to 31 days after 5 years, flexible working hours, provision of uniform, sports facilities, car parking and a pension scheme.
