You will be responsible for various tasks undertaken by the Capital Delivery section, involved in the renewal of the overhead line system and associated power supplies equipment. This will include vegetation clearance, cleaning, painting and repair of structures, component assembly and installation, and the replacement of Contact & Catenary wires.
There is a requirement to work unsocial hours including nightshift working.
A recognised qualification or previous experience in Power supplies and/or Overhead Line Engineering would be desirable. A full current Driving Licence is necessary for this post, and an HGV licence would be an advantage.
It is desirable that you have Senior Authorisation Level Switching Overhead Line although training would be provided.
