An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Disabled Children Team in Northumberland and we are looking to recruit a full time Advanced Practitioner to join our very stable team.  The Disabled Children Team supports children / young people across Northumberland for those in need of statutory support and intervention.  This role will entail managing a caseload of complex cases which sit in the team (encompassing CIN, CP and LACS cases).  The role will entail providing formal and informal supervision to members of the team, as well as deputising and chair meetings for the Deputy Team manager and Team Manager, as appropriate.  This role will involve supporting the management team including ensuring that specific areas of the service delivery are developed and delivered to meet the needs of children and families. The post will also entail supporting with the decision making including; new referrals into the team.  The successful applicant will be passionate about improving outcomes for children with a range of complex needs and their families. You must hold a relevant social worker qualification, be registered with Social Work England and have completed your ASYE. This position involves managing cases across the county, whilst some agile working may be necessary you will predominantly be based in our main office which is based in Eddie Ferguson House, Blyth.  Whilst we welcome applicants with a range of experience it would be desirable to have at least 2 years post qualifying experience of working with children with disabilities and safeguarding.    The salary for this position is £36876 - 40760
