Part-time 18hours 30 minutes temporary post available

SALARY: £18,933 - £19,698 pro rata to hours worked - grade 3 ** plus enhanced payments for working unsocial hours**

Part-time (18 hours 30 minutes) Home Care & Support Worker required temporary up to 24 months subject to service review, but with the possibility of being made a permanent position. The successful applicant will be guaranteed 18.5 hours per week, with the expectation that person will work on a bank/as and when needed basis, covering up to 37 hours per week, where required.

If you have elderly friends and relatives, you will understand the value they place on independence.

This role will give you the opportunity to contribute to a vital and valuable 24 hour community service in your local area, by providing care and support to service users within Sycamore Lodge ,Extra Care Scheme Spennymoor.

The post requires candidates to work flexibly on a rota basis, covering a variety of shifts covering days, evenings, nights and weekends. Applicants should have the ability to develop excellent communication skills, be able to demonstrate a common-sense approach, be able to work on their own initiative and, after completion of an induction, manage their own workloads, along with the ability to build positive relationships with service users, colleagues and external agencies.

Applicants should have experience in care and be willing to undertake personal care

Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Care or willingness to achieve within a set timescale

It is anticipated that interviews will be held week commencing 26th October , 2020 and will be done through video call via internet.

The appointment for this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced level check.
