The Headteacher and Governing Body of Castleside Primary School wish to appoint a flexible and reliable part time Caretaker to work initially 20 hours per week, split between a morning and afternoon shift.
Working hours are as follows:
Morning: 6:30 - 8:30
Afternoon: 16:30 -18:30

You will be responsible for a range of regular cleaning duties, daily site inspections, the security of the premises, setting alarms and general repairs as well as monitoring usage of fuel. You will be required to carry out regular health and safety checks within the building and grounds and report back to the Headteacher. The successful candidate will be expected to complete the necessary training courses including Health and Safety. Experience of DIY and ability to carry out minor repairs, general maintenance and decorating would be desirable. You should have good communication skills and be able to liaise with both routine and planned contractors who may need to be on site. The successful candidate will be required to be a key holder. Previous experience would be beneficial but not essential as necessary training will be given. This post is subject to a six month probationary period. Own transport is essential.
