Polam Hall School wishes to appoint enthusiastic Catch Up Tutors with specialisms in English and or Maths to commence in early November 2020. This programme will continue until the end of term 2021 (term time only).
The role:
We seek committed Tutors who specialise in English and or Maths who can commit to a full programme. Are experienced in tutoring and are enthusiastic, passionate about their subject and have high expectations of all pupils.
Applications from Teachers or unqualified teachers with relevant experience and qualifications are welcomed.
To prepare and deliver a programme of one to one lessons and or small group lessons to support Year 10 and 11 pupils to develop knowledge and understanding that will allow them to address their learning with a view to improvement and overall success.
These Tutors will be a skilled and reflective practitioners who are able to maximise the potential of all our pupils on this programme; who will use tutoring and assessment effectively to ensure that all pupils know and remember key knowledge and skills.
These Tutors will work as part of a team alongside Heads of Faculty, subject Teachers, SLT and the Pastoral team to ensure a full and effective Catch up Programme is delivered taking individual pupil needs into account.

We have 750 pupils on roll, with two forms of entry in our Primary Phase and three forms in our Secondary Phase.
