We are seeking a people-orientated, experienced individual to develop and manage the North East Growth Hub’s mentoring provision and peer to peer activities.
This is an exciting role that will see the candidate working with some of the region’s most prolific and ambitious business leaders. Having a genuine interest in the development of people and leadership capability through mentoring and peer learning is key to thriving in the role.
Building on the activities of our Growth through Mentoring programme, the successful candidate will:
• Promote the benefits of both one to one and group mentoring to businesses
• Manage and grow our pool of mentors (all of whom have a track record in scaling businesses)
• Facilitate mentee and mentor matching and the configuration of group mentoring cohorts.
The successful candidate will have business and leadership development experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to confidently network to promote and secure buy-in to peer to peer learning, mentoring and other leadership development initiatives. They will also have demonstrable experience of stakeholder and partner relationship management to ensure successful and co-ordinated delivery of projects to meet the targets and objectives of the Business Growth plan.

High growth small businesses have very significant economic and employment impacts on our economy.
Therefore, our goal is to increase the number of scale up businesses in the area by 50% and creating an addition 6,000 jobs.
